How to Reuse Videos on Multiple Social Media Platforms

Videos are a great and the most engaging form of content. It is hard to create a good-quality share-worthy video, takes a lot of effort and planning.

So, when you’re putting so much of hardwork into a video, why not repurpose it for different platforms? MAKE the most of it.

Every platform is different and most times, you will have to morph your content according to it. But reusing one single video is something you can do more easily when you don’t have the time to shoot different content.

From TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube, there are other social channels available for your videos.

Let’s get into the details

What is the video about?

Reusing videos doesn’t mean that you can just go forward and post the video on every platform you see.

You have to be mindful about the choice of platform.

For instance, if you have a 15-30 second video that teaches or shows behind-the-scenes, it is a fit for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Pinterest. But definitely not for Twitter and YouTube.

The easiest way to understand which platform works for what type of content is: think about why you navigate to each of them?

When do you open the Instagram App?

When you’re in the mood to relax and casually scroll through posts about the latest trends, fashion, celebs and learn creative things from your favorite creators.

Twitter? When you want to quickly catch up on what’s going in the world, the instant in which a news exists, it spreads on Twitter first.

There’s already so much of competition on all the social media channels, on top of it, if you post the content on the wrong platform, getting results will be tougher.

Some of the easiest videos to repurpose are “stories” since the format exists on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and is soon to come on Pinterest and LinkedIn.
