Why do you need to install new fonts in the Inshot app already has a few set of font styles available?
Because everyone who is using Inshot to edit their videos/photos will be having the same fonts.
Someone who is a regular user of the Inshot app can make out that you edited your video on Inshot.
Using a new font not only makes the text stand out but can also make it look more aesthetic.
For example, if your video is of a vintage theme, you can install and use a vintage-styled font like a typewriter font.
A good unique font makes your video look more attractive and pro.

How to Install new fonts in the Inshot App
Free fonts resources
There are many websites that provide free fonts which you can download. Fonts can be of different categories such as handwritten, serif, sans serif, roman, comic, etc.

Downloading the fonts
When you download fonts from any of the sites listed above, or even the ones that aren’t listed in this post, a zip folder will be downloaded.
The zip folder contains the font’s installation files.
Go to your phone’s file manager > downloads and select the zip folder & unzip it. The font files will be extracted in a folder.

Importing the font into Inshot App
Open Inshot and open the edit page for a video/photo.
Type out a text and go to the option of selecting a font.
If you don’t see the font you downloaded on this screen, click on Directories at the bottom to navigate to the Downloads folder.

It is very important that you unzip the folder after downloading the font or else the font won’t show up in the app.
Here, I have downloaded the font Montserrat from Google Fonts.
