How To Add Birds in Snapseed App

To add birds in your photo using Snapseed, you need three things. Your photo, a photo of birds and the app itself.

You can either search for pictures of birds on Google or use sites like Pexels to get high-quality pictures.

The picture of birds that I used in this tutorial is from Pexels, here is the link to download it.

If you’re choosing any other picture, make sure that the background isn’t cluttered. The editing will work best when the picture has birds in a clear sky.

If you don’t have the Snapseed App, download them from the links below.

Go to Double Exposure in Tools

Open your image in Snapseed. Go to Tools > Double Exposure and then select the picture of birds that you have selected to overlay.

After doing this, the picture of birds will show up on the top of your own picture. Change the blend mode of the ‘bird picture’ to overlay.

Move the picture to place the birds in the position you want them to be. How the ‘bird picture’ affects the rest of the picture doesn’t matter. We’ll fix it in the next step.

Click on the first icon you see on the top-right

Hit okay when you have finished the placement and click on the first icon out of the three icons you see on the top-right.

A window will pop-up, from it, choose view edits. This will show you a tab of double exposure. Click on it and select the brush.

Zoom in to paint with the brush better

Now, using this brush you can simply paint over the ‘bird picture’ only in the area where you want it to appear.

Zoom in for a closer finish

You can zoom into the picture by pinching with your fingers. Paint over the picture with the brush. The brush size will get adjusted automatically.

You can add a filter, later on, to make it blend better. I applied X02 from Grainy film.
