Video is a type of content that is consumed the most and gets the most attention from people. And finding best video editing apps is tough.
Not everyone can work on those heavy and complex video editing software. Sometimes, when you need to edit a small video for Instagram, IGTV, or Facebook, a video editing app is sufficient.
If you want to grow on Instagram, you can’t ignore posting video content. If you’re struggling with hashtags that you don’t give you a good enough reach, check out this hashtag guide I shared a while ago.
By 2022, online videos will make up more than 82% of all consumer internet traffic — 15 times higher than it was in 2017. (Cisco)
You can edit videos on phone using the free editing apps available on the playstore/app store.
If you go to the play store or the app store, it is filled with video editing apps. But how do you know which are the best ones?
It gets quite frustrating trying out different apps one after the other hoping that the next one would be the ONE.

Quick tip! Use PicsArt to add quality-filters on your videos
Though PicsArt is majorly a photo editing app, you can utilize the filters it has on your video. The retro and vintage video filters are one of my favorites. Plus they don’t degrade the quality of your video.
Previously, I have shared PicsArt editing tutorials, some of them are:

You’ve come to the right place. In this post, I’ll be sharing with you 5 best free video editing apps for both android and iPhone users.
I’ve personally used these apps myself, only after that I have curated the best ones. I use these apps all the time to edit small snippets for my Instagram stories as well.
They are in no particular order.

Best video editing apps
1. Snow
For aesthetic filters, bling effect, kodak film grains etc.
Not many people know about this app. It has a collection of aesthetic filters that you can apply both on your videos and pictures.
Have you seen that playdate edit videos? Yes, you can add the purple aesthetic bling in your videos or photos using the Snow app.
More than the actual editing where you trim and merge clips together, I recommend Snow for adding creative filters.

The best thing is that it is completely free. You get the access to all the filters, effects & tools on installation.
