4 Jaipur Outfit Ideas For Your Quick Getaway

I went on a quick 3-day trip to Jaipur with 8 of my friends recently. I read a lot of blog posts, went down the rabbit hole on Pinterest to shortlist the perfect Jaipur outfits for my trip.

So, I thought why not pen it all down so that it is useful for others planning out their Jaipur trip?

Jaipur is a beautiful and colorful city so make sure you’re at your most colorful self, that is if you love colors at all.

If not, that works too! Wear what makes you feel your best.

What I did was, go through the itinerary and see what places we’re going to cover.

When you see the places you’re visiting, you will get an idea of how many outfits you need and which kind of outfit will be a better fit for that location.

I went to Jaipur in October, it was hot but not very hot too. Pack clothes that are airy, comfortable, preferably cotton, and easy to walk around in.

Avoid any clothing item which would restrict movement since you’ll have to walk around to explore local markets in Jaipur and different forts like Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and Nahargarh Fort.

The same goes for footwear. Comfortable, light, and easy to remove when you need to rest. I personally wouldn’t recommend wearing short or revealing dresses to forts and other areas that are rich in heritage.

Nobody is gonna stop you, neither you’ll feel unsafe in the city, but it’s just about respecting the culture of the city.

Remember to keep a stole. It will come in handy when you’re visiting temples and protect you from the harsh sunlight when you’re out and about. Pack a bottle of sunscreen.

Let me show you what I wore on my trip and give you a few suggestions.

Jaipur Outfits i wore during the trip in oct 2021

Maxi Dress for the day when I was visiting the forts – Amer Fort and Nahargarh Fort

Dress – Dressbery, Black Boots – H&M

This maxi dress is from Dressbery, I got it from Myntra.

Its price can vary from Rs. 800- Rs. 1,000 depending on the offers available when you’re purchasing it.

It is comfortable and the fabric is breathable, you won’t sweat out on the hot streets of Jaipur.

Do check the size before ordering. The model is wearing a Small size when her height is 5’8. I ordered a small size for myself too and it fit me perfectly.

Except for the sleeves because I’ve chubby arms! But that was fixed by opening the button on the sleeves.

The black boots are from h&m. Bought the earrings from a local shop in Paharganj. There’s a similar option from Urbanic available on Myntra.

Here are 5 other dresses that I absolutely love and would be a great choice for you too!

Women Green Printed Fit and Flare Dress

Palazzo pants and a white shirt for exploring local markets in Jaipur

These palazzo pants were easy to walk around in and the shirt gives your hand enough space to move and hold the shopping bags.

Choose lighter colors so that you don’t feel that hot as the market can get crowdy, plus the sun is quite harsh!

My earrings are from Johori India, its a Jaipur-based brand. You can checkout their Instagram or website. They’ve some quirky and unique designs available.

The accesssory I’m wearing on my left hand, I got it from Bapu Bazaar for Rs. 100. You will fall in love with Bapu Bazaar if you are fond of ethnic wear and accessories. You can get everything from colorful Jaipur-printed sling bags, shirts, suits to famous delicious pickles.

Here’s a short reel I shared from the bazaar:

I got my shirt from Globus and the pants are customized from cloth I bought from Chandni Chowk.

Here are some similar options you can shop online!

Flowy Maxi Dress for Birla Mandir & Patrika Gate

This dress was a gift! It has two pieces, there’s one slip dress which has a blue pattern at the bottom and then there’s the dress on the top of it which has the sleeves and embroidery at the front.

A Jaipur outfit is incomplete without matching juttis. I got my pair of Jutti’s from Kin’s store in Great India Place, Noida.

Although, I would strongly recommend to get something more colorful for Patrika Gate. Colors like red, yellow and maroon would look perfect.

Dinner at The Forresta Kitchen & Bar

White T-shirt: H&m, Shoulder bag: H&m, Skirt: Thrifted, Boots: H&m

Since I was already a bit exhausted because of being out and about the entire day, I kept the outfit for dinner at The Forresta Kitchen & Bar bit simple and comfy.
