What is a beach vacation without beautiful memories that you capture through photos and videos? I’ve got you covered for beach vacation outfits for the perfect Instagram photos.

Every time I go on a trip, deciding on what outfits to keep is something I love doing. Because I am also a Photographer, photos from a trip have a different meaning to me.

In addition to them being memoirs from the place I’m visiting, it’s also a chance for me to brush up my skills in Travel Photography and getting my own pictures clicked.

Which doesn’t go well every time, tbh, right?

We, Photographers, have a set idea in mind about how we want our picture to be taken: the light, the angle, etc. And it’s hard to expect someone using your camera for the first time to get a perfect shot.

But anyway, it gets managed. Thanks to Lightroom and Photoshop.

So, where were we?

Island Vacation Outfits!

There are two kinds of outfits that look best, choose either analogous colors, colors similar to the places you’re visiting or polar-opposite complementary colors that will help you stand out in the photos.

The bright yellow/red makes the person pop out against the rugged mountain terrain and is a perfect choice for a trip to the mountains, whether it’s in summers or winters.

The second is, wearing analogous colors. This basically means that you blend in with your surroundings, either with the colors, pattern, or both.

Say it with tropical prints!

What comes to your mind when you think of the islands?

Beach, the blue ocean, beautiful greens, and the sand!

Try to incorporate these patterns/shapes in your clothing. For example, as you can see in the picture above, I wore a blue tropical printed top from H&m and olive green shorts from Amazon.

This outfit both looks good and is so comfortable. I wore it on the ferry, on my way from Port Blair to the Havelock Islands.

It can get pretty hot on the islands, plus there’s beach practically everywhere. So, it’s a wise decision to wear something airy and a pair of shorts that’ll dry easily in the sun.

A loose fitting white cotton shirt goes a long way

Good white cotton or linen shirt is so versatile. You can wear it as it is, tie it up for a fun cropped look, wear it unbuttoned with a cool bralette inside and so much more!

A white shirt also comes in handy when you’ve just come out of the water all wet in your swimwear. Simply put on your clean shirt and you’re good to go.

You won’t be cold anymore.

The important thing here is that the shirt be loose-fitting. You don’t wear to something that is body-hugging when you’re wet.

A loose oversized shirt will give you the space to dry up quicker.

A wrap skirt or a skirt with a slit on the side

It’s almost like wrap skirts were invented for beach vacation outfits. A combination of shorts and skirts, wrap skirts pair well with fitted tank tops and floral blouses.

And if you can find one that has a slit on the side, then its a cherry on the top!

Linen trousers

Linen trousers are breezy and a comfortable choice when you’re planning to visit the market around the beaches or a quick bite at a cafe.

Easy to slip into, you can pair you trousers with a crop top, loosely tied shirt or basically anything that gives you space for movement.

I am a bit partial to white because how classy it looks, so I’d probably pair it with a white shirt or t-shirt.

Co-ord sets

A cute pair of co-ord set never hurt anyone. Urbanic has some great options when it comes to co-ords.

If the set comes with a shirt, you can unbutton it and wear a white tank top underneath.

To accessorize, either opt for medium-sized colorful earrings or a minial golden necklace. Don’t wear them both and over-do it.
