How to Get New Fonts on Instagram

Are you looking a way to use new fonts on Instagram stories, bio or captions?

There is a way and you don’t even need to install any app for it.

Adding new fonts in your posts and stories can make them stand out from the rest. For instance, in the caption of a post, you can use bold-fonts to emphasize the important words.

These words can either be a heading, bullet points, GIVEWAY, FREE PRESET or something like that.

If you want to revamp your entire profile, you can use the custom font in your Instagram bio and in the highlight’s titles as well.

You can see in the screenshot below, I have changed the font of the text in my bio and story highlights.

Step 1: Type out your complete text first. Once you are satisfied with what you have written select and copy it to the clipboard.

Double-check for any grammatical errors because if after the new font gets pasted, any corrections made will not show up in the new custom font.

Step 2: Go to a site that lets you change the font of your text. I recommend the following: igfonts.io, lingojam.com, instafonts.io, and coolfont.org.

This is how lingojam looks. Paste your text in the first box and in the second box you will see your text displayed in different fonts.

Scroll down to see all the fonts and choose the one you like. Select and copy that font, hit paste on Instagram.

And you’re done!

Wait, wait. Keep these points in mind while using custom fonts:

  1. Choose the font wisely. Don’t get carried away with the fancy calligraphy fonts. They might look at first but they can be hard to read for some people.
  2. Use custom fonts only at places where necessary. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing.
  3. When you have found your favorite font, stick to it. Create a consistent theme for your profile and brand with that font.
