How to Change Color in Photoshop in Under 5 Minutes: Easy Tutorial

Hey everyone! Today I’ll be sharing with you a super quick tutorial on how you can change color in Photoshop. You can apply this technique to change the color of a dress in Photoshop quickly.

This can also come in handy if you have one of those themes on an Instagram feed where it is color-coordinated. A colour-coordinated feed looks aesthetically pleasing. Here are some examples of such Instagram feeds,

How to change color in Photoshop

Create Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer

Open your image in Photoshop. On the right-hand side panel, at the bottom, you’ll see a button like this,

Click on this button and select the Hue/Saturation option. This creates a Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer. See that hand below the Preset?

Select it and then move the hand over your image and place it on the outfit or any place whose color you wish to change.

Change the color to another color of your choice

Now that the color is selected, you can turn it to any other color by adjusting the levels of Hue, Saturation, and Lightness. To make sure that the color is selected properly and evenly spread the bars on the rainbow color lines you see.

Move the slider of Hue to get different colors and move the saturation slider to adjust how saturated the color should be.

By meddling with these 3 sliders you can create any color of your choice to replace the original one.
