Step 1: Choose the video & open the Instagram app
Select the video on which you want to add lyrics.
Go to the option where you create and post a new Instagram story.
Upload media just like you do while sharing a story.
This media should be the video you want your lyrics to show up on. After selecting the video, go to stickers and select music.

Step 2: Select the music
Select the song you want to add and from the options listed on the bottom, pick a style for the lyrics.
If the video you selected is split into two stories, you have to add the lyrics in both the clips.
Make sure to check where the song ends in the first clip so that the lyrics in both the clips are in sync.
Save this story to your phone and don’t post it yet. It will be saved without the music but that’s totally okay.

Step 3: Upload the video, add the music & post it on reels
Go to the reels tab to post a video as a reel and upload the Instagram story you saved with lyrics placed on it.
Add the song whose lyrics you added. Place it so that the lyrics and the song in the background are in sync.
And that’s how you add lyrics to reels!
