Mussoorie is the perfect vacation spot if you don’t want to travel too far from Delhi. Although it’s super close, it’s beautiful and has some serene views to offer.

Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express covers the 302 km distance between Anand Vihar and Dehradun in four hours and 45 minutes. It runs on all days of the week, except Wednesday.
On my visit to Mussoorie in July 2023, I stayed at this beautiful property – Ellbee Hotel which was situated right at the mall road.
I’m a Photographer and I was traveling solely to capture the beginning of the monsoon season in Mussoorie through my camera.
It’s the perfect location since you’re close to most spots you’d like to visit.
Although, I do have to mention that the way from mall road to the hotel property itself is a bit narrow & is downhill. You must carry your luggage carefully to and from the hotel while checking in or out.
I visited during the onset of the Monsoon because I wanted to witness the breathtaking clouds in the hills. But this also meant that I had to carry my suitcase around in the rain. Your taxi will most probably not be able to drop you to the hotel entrance.
If you drove your own car, that’s different. The hotel has an ample amount of parking space where you can conveniently park your car.
When you walk out of the hotel towards the mall road, there are plenty of great shops for you to buy things from or have a hearty meal.
The mall road is actually quite long if you walk towards the end of it.

More About Ellbee Hotel in Mussoorie (With Pictures)
As you enter the property, there is a big parking space and an entryway to the reception area. They offered me a welcome drink – mango juice, which was quite refreshing.
The staff was pretty nice to me and welcomed me with smiling faces haha.
Check-in was smooth, remember to keep your ID handy to make the process swift.
There is a small terrace on the roof that is like your own private sunset point, an amazing spot for pictures!
Have a look at the room
The room was quite spacious. It had an ensuite bathroom (with a hair dryer which was the need of the hour in the monsoon season), a cupboard to keep your clothes in paired with a locker for your valuable possessions.
They even kept a handmade note in the room, a cute addition!
The bed was extremely comfortable and soft. It was hard to get any work done after getting into bed after a whole day of exploring the city. The AC worked perfectly. I slept like a log during my stay at Ellbee Hotel.
The bathroom had warm water every morning without fault. You get all the necessary toiletries such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, etc. The bathroom was shiny and clean!
The Food
The breakfast buffet is huge at the Ellbee Hotel in Mussoorie.
Some of the options that you get are:
- Fresh fruits, whole and chopped
- Tea & coffee, with and without sugar
- Pasta
- Poha
- Toast
- Choice of egg
- Aloo parantha
- Sooji Halwa
- Aloo Sabzi
- Puri
- Palak Pakoda
There is a hi-tea in the evening around 5 PM. It has delicious things like hot-pakode, cold-cut sandwiches with a cup of tea. Which is a perfect little snack to have before heading out to explore in the evening.

If I have to choose my favorite meal from my 2-day stay at Ellbee Hotel, (I’m a bit biased) I’d choose the hi-tea.
Simply because the feeling of sipping a hot cup of chai with crispy pakode, and watching it rain outside is unmatched.
On my first day, I had lunch. Ordered dal makhani and jeera aloo. Jeera aloo was a bit bland but overall I would call the meal satisfying.

Conclusion
I had an amazing experience during my stay! The rooms were incredibly spacious and impeccably clean, and the crisp bed sheets added to the delightful ambiance. The breakfast buffet was a true treat, offering a wide variety of delicious options.
What truly made the stay special was the attentive staff, who went out of their way to ensure my comfort. They were always ready to assist with a smile, and their hospitality made me feel like a valued guest.
I highly recommend this place as a perfect destination for anyone looking for a happy and confident getaway.
