Don’t Miss This Quaint Cafe in Mussoorie: Scenic views & delicious food!

Cafe Ivy is a beautiful rustic cafe in Mussoorie that you shouldn’t miss.

Landour is a less-crowded part of Mussoorie approximately 7,000ft above sea level.

The town’s colonial legacy is evident in its architecture, with quaint cottages and colonial-era buildings dotting the landscape. This can be seen in the architecture of Cafe Ivy too.

Entrance of the Cafe Ivy in Landour, Mussoorie

I visited Cafe Ivy in September 2023, on a long weekend. When I saw the open space of the cafe with old deodar trees around, I couldn’t stop myself from picturing how amazing it would look covered in snow during the winter.

The cafe looks whimsical with its open seating space around a huge old tree. Cafe Ivy is in Landour which is merely 6kms away from Mussoorie.

You can book a taxi for a day to explore Landour. It cost me around ₹2,000 to explore different spots in Landour.

Quick note: If you’re looking for a trustworthy amazing taxi in and around the Mussoorie-Dehradun region, contact – Vijay at +91-9927119722. I hired him for my whole trip to Mussoorie, twice!

Most of which are close to each other. On my Landour Itinerary, I had – Rokeby Manor, Landour Bakehouse, Lal Tibba, Kellogg Memorial Church, and Chaar Dukan Cafe.

Cafe Ivy wasn’t one of them! My taxi driver suggested it to me for lunch.

The Food

I had pasta, a falafel sandwich, a lotus biscoff late and a mojito, as recommended by the owner herself.

Honestly, I wouldn’t have ordered the falafel sandwich on my own. It wasn’t bad, but I didn’t love it.

But again, that can be because I had it for the first time and might not have the taste buds for it.

I went during a long weekend so the place was jam-packed but the owner and the staff were attending the customers pretty efficiently.

The Lotus Biscoff Latte was neither hot nor cold which was a bit odd.

Keeping everything aside, I would still recommend you give Cafe Ivy a try because I believe it can do better!

I just visited during a rush and ordered something I usually don’t order and ended up not loving the meal that much.
