If you are an aspiring YouTuber making your YouTube video setup, an Instagram Blogger who makes sit down videos, this post is for you. The items that I have mentioned in this post are versatile. You can either use them when you make styling videos as a fashion blogger or put them on your table when you are shooting a sit-down video.
Our goal is to make your YouTube video setup look aesthetic and well put-together. There are some things that are common and can be found right in your house.
For instance, small planters, coffee mugs, photo frames (with a quote framed in them), notebooks, fairy lights used during festivals, small decor items etc.
You can DIY a quirky photo frame. If you are like me, and are in love with everything white, choose a photo frame you already have and paint it white. I recommend painting instead of spraying. Half of the color gets wasted when you use a spray paint.
Also, paints are more affordable than a can of spray paint. The items listed below cost under Rs. 1000. I have bought and used most of the things that I am recommending to you.

LED lightbox with changeable letters
This LED lightbox is available on Amazon for Rs. 999, there is one more variant that costs Rs. 799 but it doesn’t have good reviews. You might have already seen this lightbox being used by bloggers on Instagram and YouTube.
It comes with 85 letters which you can use to write your channel’s name, your name, r just a short quote. One interesting to use it is to write the topic of your video on this lightbox.
This can be a constant in all of your videos, like a poster that shows what you are going to talk about. It also comes in handy as a great prop for pictures.

Battery LED fairy light
Fairy lights need no introduction. You can place them in the background of your videos to get beautiful bokeh. In order to get a perfect round bokeh from these fairy lights, keep a distance of around a meter between the lights and you. If you are shooting using a DSLR camera, keep the aperture low for a better depth of field.
There are numerous fairy lights available online on Amazon, I have ordered them twice. The first one was faulty but the second one worked fine. It has been over a year and it is in great condition. I have linked the same battery LED fairy lights that I bought below.

In addition to a YouTube video setup, these are also useful for pictures like flatlays and portraits. You will notice on my Instagram feed that I use them very often. Some pictures are shot using Sony Alpha A7iii with a 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and the rest are shot with Nikon D3400 with a 50mm f/1.8G lens.
Although Sony A7iii is obviously a better gear, I get better bokeh from Nikon D3400 because of the 50mm f/1.8 lens. Let me show you the different bokeh effect I get using each of them.

Would you believe me if I told you these notebooks are just for Rs. 119 each? Good quality stationery items are hard to find. And in most cases, they are a bit expensive.
You can use these notebooks to jot down all of your ideas for YouTube videos, as well as put them on your table/desk while you are shooting a video. Write pointers on what you are going to talk about in them so that you don’t forget.

Wall tapestry background gives out an aesthetic vibe. Mandala tapestry is on Amazon for Rs. 348. There is also one with a huge dream catcher on it for Rs. 459. You can reuse it as a bedsheet or a tablecloth.
It is a perfect pop of color for the background in styling videos. Pair it up with fairy lights to take it to the next level. For the best look, don’t hang anything else in front of this wall tapestry.
The mandala pattern is intricate and acts as a centerpiece. If you put pictures on top of it, they won’t be standing out nicely. In your YouTube video setup, you can either hang on the wall behind you or lay it down on the floor.

Wiremesh Grid
I bought mine for the same price from AliExpress. I have linked the similar product available on Amazon for Rs. 799, measuring 45 x 65 cm. While buying a wiremesh grid, always double check the size so that you don’t end up with a smaller one.
Whenever I share a photo of my desk on Instagram post or story, I’m always asked where did I get this from. So, I guess this is a widely loved decor item. Search for YouTube video setup inspiration or just room decor ideas and you will definitely see a wire mesh grid pop up on Pinterest.
You can decorate with Polaroids, souvenirs, battery LED fairy lights, etc. I got my polaroids printed from Canvera and Snapstore. Here is a picture of my desk and the wire mesh hung above it,
Fancy colorful cushions paired with a rug
Picture this setup: white wall, a rug on the floor and these colorful cushions lined up with you either sitting beside them talking or styling an outfit standing in front of them.
Cushions are a great option for casual sit-down videos in which you can sit at a corner in your place or on your bed with a cup of coffee and talking in your video.
Remember, that these are just cushion covers. You have the cushions separately. If you have cushions already then look for cushion covers of their size.
