Room Decor Ideas On A Budget

Magnify with mirrors

Mirrors expand a small bedroom by creating the illusion of a bigger room. Positioning a mirror to reflect the light of a window is also the only way to up the natural light in your space. Having a mirror in your room can make it look more spacious and make it look bigger than it actually is. Opt for simple and minimalistic mirrors rather than the ones having bulky frames.

The easiest way to incorporate a big mirror to your space? Find a body-length mirror and lean it up against the wall. No holes needed. Though, you’ll want to secure it with wall tacky for peace of mind.

Add some greens

Some small little pots never hurt anyone. Make your room come to life by adding small succulents or flower pots in the corner or on any table. Flowers freshen up the air with a subtle fragrance and enhance the overall positive vibe of the space.

DIY decor items

If you are someone who is creative, you can create your own DIY room decor. Tassels are currently trending and they are quite easy to make too. Below is a video that will teach you how to make your very own tassel room decor.

Cushion it up

Cushions are often ignored in the bedroom. But having a cushion with covers matching the theme of your room can really be effective to revamp your room. I personally prefer cushion covers to be as simple as possible, without too many colours at once and heavy designing. The covers you see in the picture above are from House of Ekam.

It is inspired by the beauty and familiarness of the extremely rare spoon-billed sandpiper bird. With birds hand-loomed all over, style it in your bedroom or living room with colourful furniture. Click here to check out their collection on the website.

Colour pop with small wall decor items

If you don’t have the budget to get your walls painted for a makeover, small additions can make a difference too. Decide on a colour palette or a theme and you can decorate your wall with related wall hangings, stickers and posters. I personally love the minimal or Nordic theme.
