Where are you from?
Gorakhpur.
A little introduction about yourself and what you do
I’m a full-time travel blogger.
Which is your favourite city and why?
I cannot talk about one city being my favourite as I leave my heart in every city that I visit.
What were the obstacles, if any, and how did you overcome them
There were and there still are. I was studying law when I realised that I cannot take a corporate career in the future. I’ve always loved writing and being in college itself I starred my blog page.
Later, I dropped out and started this fulltime despite everyone being against it. Now that I live on my own from the age of 20, I’m living my dream life but now the biggest problem is funds. I’m a freelancer as I told and it’s never fixed when I’ll get paid so it’s a bit difficult to handle the household
What was the most exciting thing you saw or did?
There are so many things. From walking in paradise-like Dzouku valley to getting drowned in Robber’s cave. From meeting different tribes in Nagaland to living with Himachali families. All of it excites me.
Which place would you revisit? Would you ever move to any of those cities?
I did. I loved being in Dharamshala and I would visit it often but then in August I finally shifted here.
What are you most grateful for and to what do you owe your success?
My passion for travelling and a simpler life. This is the only thing I’d owe my success to. If I’d not been this passionate, I’d be sitting at home and wondering of going places.
What was the strangest thing you ate?
A Grasshopper.
Did you find any sites or activities a bit off the beaten track? Beyond the tourist maps?
There was this village called Dzulekie which is a complete wonder in itself.
What is your favourite meal?
Litti chokha
How has travel changed you as a person?
Travel has not just changed me but evolved me as a whole. From my perspective to making me more sensitive towards nature. It has done all sorts of good in my life. It has made me more open-minded and balanced in life.
