#NotSponsored Mandore Guest House and Resort is a beautiful stay in Jodhpur. On my trip to Jaisalmer & Jodhpur, I stayed there during the Jodhpur part of my trip.
I took a cab from Jaisalmer to Mandore Guest House in Jodhpur and it cost Rs. 4,000. We were a group of 4 people.
The journey takes close to 4-4.5 hours depending on how many stops you make along the way.
We stopped once to see the Jaisalmer War Memorial which came on our way to Jodhpur and once to have some tea & snacks.
We left in the afternoon around 3:00 PM and reached the hotel just in time for dinner.
The road leading up to the Mandore Guest House is a little congested because you’ll have to drive through small lanes. But the guest house itself is a beautiful property nestled between the local houses and markets.
Because it is situated a little inside, you won’t hear any noise from the traffic.
At night, when the whole place lights up with the bonsai and other greens around the open area of the guest house, it looks surreal. Here’s how it looked:
I went in winters, in the month of December. You can either have your meals inside the Bawarchi – An Indo-Chinese Restaurant or here (in the picture above) in the open seating area.
The staff at the Mandore Guest House and Resort placed a bonfire for us near our table while we enjoyed a hot delicious meal.
It’s an ideal guest house for a family vacation too.
Since my stay in Jodhpur wasn’t that long, I went to Mehrangarh Fort the next morning and came to the hotel in the evening.
Mehrangarh Fort is approximately 7-8km from Mandore Guest House. The Mandore Garden is at a walking distance of 700m.
If you have spare days on your trip to Jodhpur, Mandore Guest House can be the perfect place for a laid-down relaxing stay where you enjoy your book by the swimming pool.

More about Mandore Guest House and Resort
Mandore Guest House is run by a family, so the owners and staff understand the value of having a great time with your loved ones.
It has 21 air-conditioned Garden Cottages along with Mandore Suites that have twin/double beds paired with modern bathrooms. It is wheelchair friendly as all of the rooms are on the ground floor.
All of their staff was courteous and the rooms were well-maintained.
One of my favorite things about the resort was the lush green trees, bonsai, and plants around. It is a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning.
You’ll get a high-speed internet connection, peace, and privacy. The Mandore Guest House is vegetarian. So, if you were planning for some non-veg meals, you might have to eat outside for it.
For dinner, we had dal makhani, white sauce pasta, garlic naan, and raita. Dal makhani stole the show! Although everything was delicious.
