Guides on Instagram: Latest Feature Introduced on the Instagram App

instagram guides new feature

In a recent announcement, Instagram shared the latest feature called Guides. The announcement was shared on the official Instagram blog.

Guides has been introduced to make it easier for the users to find inspiration and content from their favorite accounts.

You can think of them as blog posts. Users can share tips, how-to’s, travel recommendations, and other different types of information through Guides.

Instagram Guides will be focused on wellness content

In the blog post, Instagram says:

“We know many people are struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we are first focusing Guides on wellness content. We’ll enable creators to connect with expert organizations to share resources during this time, including tips on how to look after your well-being, maintaining a connection with others, or managing anxiety or grief.”

You can have a look at what a Guide is by visiting the profiles of creators and organizations such as @afspnational@heads_together@vitaalere@klicksafe@headspace_aus@deepikapadukone@sudahdong and @eenfance.

Tap the middle icon which looks like an open magazine to view their Guides.

This feature though restricted to the above-listed people will soon roll out to general users as well. You will be able to access Guides from the Explore tab on Instagram.
