YouTube Video not getting enough views? Here’s how to fix it

I know, know much we work put into your YouTube video. Hours of shooting and then more hours are spent on editing it, making it look just right.

But then you hit publish, no response.

how to get more views on youtube video

There’s more to YouTube than what meets the eye. Just like a search engine, YouTube ranks videos based on some things you should keep a check on.

If your videos aren’t getting enough views then you need to put work into promoting & marketing them properly.

Following are some ways of promoting YouTube videos to get more views:

Optimize the video’s title

The title of your YouTube video is the first thing that any person would look at along with the thumbnail.

Analyze your own habits for instance, what type of titles generate interest? Almost like a reflex that makes you click on the video.

What makes you click?

From what I’ve seen after analyzing myself is that I am more likely to click on a video if it’s title either solves a problem or creates a sense of urgency/suspense.

You’ve seen the Top YouTuber’s videos with the titles like,

Shopped from Shein UNEXPECTEDLY

How to take your GAME UP

I bet you didn’t KNOW THIS

What is good about them?

The first one makes you wonder how did the shopping go, the second one makes you want to take your own game up and feel better about yourself and the third one creates a suspense.

Also, point that some YouTubers put their video’s entire title capital letters, which I won’t personally recommend.

It looks like someone is shouting at you (or that’s how I feel).

It is far more better to write only those words in capitals which you want to highlight in the title. Keep the title short and to the point.

Make the best out of Video tags

Video tags don’t work the same as tags in blog posts. Create a tag for your channel, your brand through which people can identify its you.

For example, mine is garimashares. I use it as a hashtag on my posts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, blogposts and as a tag on YouTube.

Use all of your main keywords related to the video’s content in the tags. If you’re posting a video explaining Google Adsense then you should be using Google Adsense as a tag.

Tags play a major role in increasing the video’s organic reach on YouTube.

To do deeper research, type in your title in YouTube search and see what it auto suggests.

Use those titles in your video tags as well.

Customized Thumbnail for your YouTube video

Designing a professional looking thumbnail for your YouTube video helps build your brand identity, this in turn more eyes to your content.

Here’s an example of a YouTube thumbnail I made for one of my editing tutorials

The appropriate thumbnail image should be 1280 x 720 pixels. 16:9 is the ideal ratio used for YouTube players.

Also, your thumbnail has to be smaller than 2MB for YouTube.

I personally, have been using Canva for the longest time. For all of my social media creatives along with YouTube thumbnails.

They have a really great collection of templates and if you can’t find the one that matches your taste, you have the option to start from a blank canvas.

Having an intro and outro is a MUST

An intro and outro in your YouTube video is great for branding. It looks more professional.

Some people use only intro and skip outro but I think outro is equally significant. Why?

If the viewer has stayed and watched your video till the end, it is evident that they liked your content.

This means that you have their full attention on the video. Why not make the best of it? Remind them to subscribe, like, share and comment in the outro or even place your logo.

Don’t have a logo yet? Design it ASAP. (Canva!)

Ideally the intro and outro should be 5-8 seconds long.

Share your YouTube video on social media

Well this is probably the most obvious tip. People spend so much time on their phones scrolling their Facebook, Instagram feeds, it saves us from those awkward cringy times.

I use Buffer to schedule my posts. It is pretty simple to use.

Twitter has the quickest response to posts. The day I’m active on Twitter, engaging, re-tweeting and tweeting my blog posts, the traffic boomsss!

So, make it a habit to share the video everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE as soon as you hit publish.

There are even Facebook Groups of YouTubers of different niches. These are the places where fellow YouTubers connect, network and help each other grow.

For tags, I’ll recommend you to use Tubebuddy, it is a great tool for YouTube SEO. No other platforms can be better than promoting your content on social media. it is the quickest way to increase your viewers.
For those who don’t want to do so much hard work and still want viewers, i’ll recommend them to buy viewers from instantviews.co (https://www.instantviews.co/). I had done the same when I had started my channel.
