On 29 May 2018, Vivo launched Vivo X21 smartphone in India at Rs 35,990 which will be available starting today via Flipkart and the company’s online store. Its the first phone in the market with a fingerprint scanner built in the screen display. The smartphone can be unlocked by tapping on the screen, the fingerprint scanner pops up and verifies.
This is the second smartphone, after concept X20 Plus UD, from Vivo to feature an under-display fingerprint scanner. Along with fingerprint scanner, Vivo X21 also has a face recognition locking system.

Vivo X21 has a 6.28-Inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For photography, Vivo X21 sports a dual-camera setup at the rear comprising of a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. UP front, it houses a 12-megapixel camera for selfies.
Vivo X21 comes with Android 8.1 and also supports Android P public beta. The smartphone packs a 3,200mAh battery. Vivo X21 also features a facial recognition technology which works in low light conditions as well using an infrared light sensor.
