Which YouTubers earned the most in the year 2017

YouTube was launched back in 2005. The service was created by three former PayPal employees—Chad HurleySteve Chen, and Jawed Karim—in February 2005. Google bought the site in November 2006 for US$1.65 billion. All the YouTubers earn money from sponsored videos and by allowing advertisements to run on their videos on YouTube. Here are the top 10 YouTubers who have earned the most in 2017, as published by Forbes recently.

10. Lilly Singh – $10.5 million

Lilly Singh a Canadian, most popularly known as ‘Superwoman’ makes videos on the genre of comedy and has a huge fan following around the world with over 12 million subscribers on youtube and 7.2 million followers on Instagram. She began her channel in October 2010 and has been featured in every YouTube Rewind from the year 2014. She has also released a feature film called ‘Trip to Unicorn Island’ for YouTube Red, the company’s premium service. Her fans call themselves unicorns and are moved by her views on self-love and women empowerment.Singh has received an MTV Fandom Award, four Streamy Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and a People’s Choice Award to date in her career. In March 2017, she released her first book, How to be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life.

It is amazing to see that how Ryan who is just 6 years old earns so much. His ToysReview earns millions by opening and reviewing the toys he has or gets as a sponsored goodie. The YouTube channel has over 10 million followers. The account began in 2015 when Ryan, then a four-year-old fan of toy-review videos, asked his parents why he couldn’t also review toys online.

8. Smosh – $11million

Smosh was one of the first YouTube channels to go viral. It was started by Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla by posting comedy videos around video games and pop culture. It is an American sketch comedy YouTube channel having 22 million subscribers. As of  August 2017, the Smosh channel had over 6 billion views and 22 million subscribers, making it the 15th most subscribed channel on YouTube.

7. Jake Joseph Paul – $11.5 million

Jake Joseph Paul is an American Actor and a YouTuber who initially began by making Vines, small comedy videos with his brother Logan. He came into limelight for playing the role of Dirk on the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark. Though the main niche of the videos is comedy, he posts original music once in a while too. His YouTube channel has over 13 million followers.

6. Felix Kjellberg – $12 million

Better known as PewDiePie, Felix is a Swedish video game commentator. His videos have him playing various video games and reacting to what’s happening. His YouTube Channel has over 58 million followers.

Mark is a gaming YouTuber known as Markiplier. His YouTube channel has over 18 million followers. As of November 2017, his channel has over 8 billion total video views and 19 million subscribers and is currently one of the Top 25 most-subscribed channels on YouTube.[6] Fischbach specializes in Let’s Play videos, commonly of survival horror video games

25 year old Canadian, Evan is popularly known as VanossGaming. He posts videos that him playing video games with a hint of comedy in them. His editing skills in the videos are praised by many. His YouTube channel has over 22 million followers.

Just like many names on this list, Daniel’s channel is focused on a game called Minecraft. He is known as ‘TheDiamondMinecart’. He posts videos daily on his channel having 17 million followers. In 2017, he did a world tour that had 4 sold out nights at the Sydney Opera House.
