4 Lessons I’ve learned in 2017

There’s something about people who love animals

This doesn’t include the ones who find little puppies cute and that’s where their love ends. The ones who genuinely care about all the animals, in general, are hard to find, has been hard to find for me at least. I have heard people react to a dog with a broken leg saying Oh it’ll be okay let him be! If your own leg was broken, will you leave it as it is? True animal lovers have such a kind heart. We are sharing our planet Earth with thousands of species, why not love them too? Here in India, almost every street has a stray dog. Little gestures like feeding them once in a while or waving to them, make their day and believe me when I say this, they will never forget you. Their love is selfless and pure. There was a time when I was scared of them, but I befriend every dog I meet. They just know what kind of person one and react accordingly. If you’re an animal lover, then dogs, irrespective of where you are, will never bark or be aggressive at you. Try to love animals, it’ll change you in ways you didn’t even know before.Know about The dog who changed my life.

Dealing with hate and bad company

In such times of social media where half the people seeing you on their feeds as they scroll feel negative about you, it is quite common to be hated for one or the other reason which may not be relevant in the first place. I used to ignore and leave the people be as friends anyway but then I silently unfriend-ed and un-followed some and I’ve never felt clearer in my mind. Let your mind be free of negativity, get rid of the bad company, the people whose mindsets make you twitch.

Money doesn’t make money

It makes me feel how shallow one’s thinking capacity is when they someone succeeded because they have money, fashion bloggers in particular. Money doesn’t reproduce itself. No matter what the job or profession, it needs hard work and dedication. The only way that money makes money is the interest rate you get monthly in your Bank account. It is very easy and almost reflexive of people to criticize the one succeeding to console themselves by thinking the reason they succeed is money.

Give yourself some credit and dignity

It breaks my heart to see the people close to me, letting themselves be disrespected and not finding anything remotely wrong with you. You are worth something, no one owns or has the right to give you orders (Except your mother JK). It is not always you who did the mistake, be brave enough to stand up for yourself when in need because if you won’t stand up for yourself, how will anyone else? Also, one very important thing is to give yourself credit. Be happy with your small accomplishments. Don’t depend on the ultimate goal to make you completely content, your small successes pave your way to the big ones. Let them make you feel empowered and utilize this motivation to go ahead on your path!
