Managing your Social accounts
This might seem a pretty obvious thing which everyone knows but trust me I have had people ask me when they have no clue what to do when they lose a minor Facebook password. Also, when signing up on other websites they ask me ‘Aree isme Gmail ka password daalu kya?’ (Do I have to write my Gmail password here?’) No nooo! No site asks for your email id and its password, (If one does, it is a TRAP) use your common sense what are you doing? Giving away your account details.
Control your emotions
In your 20s, as an adult, you should be able to control your emotions. Not being furious at small disputes and let down by small failures. Unless you are pregnant, then we understand the mood swings. Failures are an alternate success.
Get serious about your career
It’s okay to fool around, do some mistakes or have the time of your lives with your friends. But at the end of the day, you should also know what you want to do in life to be independent. Though your parents will happily keep supporting you, it is about time you get senses on your own to think of ways to make money for a living.
Know your Grammar
It is been told a million times and it is upsetting to see youngsters still fumbling around in your and you’re. You have Google and Wikipedia! Use them, please.
Know how to cook
Yes there are a thousand places from where you can get food delivered to you easily but knowing some basics of cooking might come in handy. Don’t starve yourself in situations when it’s too late to order.
Have a bank account
Not only have a bank account but also how banking works.
Know how to drive ( with a license )
Knowing how to drive is a basic need and is very important too. I’m guilty of not knowing how to drive perfectly. Are you?
Get street smart
Know how to make your way back home when you are standing alone in an unknown place. Recharge your Metro card online to skip those queues! Always carry some change with you. Beware of pickpocketing. Survive in the concrete jungle Bear Grylls.
